Went here for an anniversary dinner and overall had a great experience. We waited about 10–12 minutes past our reservation time, but once seated the service was fast and attentive. The ambiance is beautiful, though the tables are pretty close together, which made it feel a bit less intimate. Highlights were the scallion pancakes (incredible dipping sauce), the Chingon chicken (juicy, crispy, perfectly seasoned), and the banana dumplings for dessert. The chili noodles were good but not unique, and the vegetarian tofu dish was disappointing and needed a side of fried rice to balance it. Despite a few misses, the food overall was excellent and the service was strong. Food: 4.5/5, Service: 4.2/5, Atmosphere: 4.1/5.

We ordered a bunch of different dishes. The Peking duck was very good but I’m not sure it was worth $110. The scallion pancakes was terrible. I was like eating an oily pizza crust. The xiao long bao was a bigger size than I’m use to but it was good. Do not order the chili chicken! It was so dry you can’t even bite into it. I think the best thing we ordered was the Dan Dan noodle. The noodles were good and the sauce was different but very good. Service was excellent.

I second my friend's sentiment regarding the warm hospitality at Duck Duck Goat, the antithesis of a cold dystopian atmosphere some other restaurants regrettably offer. If my memory serves me correctly, I believe our server's name was Kayla, who was wonderful. The food was also satisfactory and flavorful. The shishito peppers were cooked perfectly had puffed rice which lent to a welcome contrasting texture. The dim sum dishes all contained varying flavor profiles. The fermented sliced chili's added a nice gentle acidic touch to contrast the robustness of the meat dumpling. My experience at Duck Duck Goat was very positive. The cheerful disposition of the staff and the both tasteful and tasty food created by a well-ran kitchen offered a wonderful brunch experience. The warmth of said experience was dichotomous to the penetrating frozen windchill permeating Chicago this weekend.

Duck Duck Goat offers a vibrant, fun, and well-decorated dining experience, complemented by welcoming and friendly staff. The food quality is undeniably high, with every dish impressing us. The highlights were the Dan Dan Slap Noodles, which were truly amazing, and the perfectly cooked Pork Belly. The only reason this didn't earn a perfect 5-star rating was the seasoning: the amount of salt was simply way too much. It unfortunately overshadowed the excellent flavors in several dishes. It's a fantastic spot with knockout dishes, but be prepared for high sodium levels.

I love the vibe and atmosphere at the place. Although the food is not authentic Chinese and most of dishes are on the salty side for Chinese. But my friends all enjoyed the food so I want to respect that everyone has different palate for different types of cuisine. The most important the service and bartenders were all amazing and made our night very enjoyable!

I came on a Saturday night with no reservation. Luckily since I was solo and the bar was first come first serve and I was able to get a seat right away. Even with the bartenders being incredibly busy, I was greeted right away, and given water and menu. I ordered a couple appetizers and went with the crab rangoon, pot stickers and soup dumplings. The food came out really fast! I really liked the crab Rangoon, you could taste the fresh cream cheese but I didn’t love the sauce they came with. The pot stickers were my least favorite dish and despite being beautifully presented were quite underwhelming. The star of the night were the soup dumplings!! YUM! Over all the resturant had beautiful atmosphere and good food! Only downside for the entire area is parking. Luckily after driving in circles for a bit I snagged a spot a block away.

We made Dim Sum reservations for a Saturday at 12:30. The place was very cute, and the service was friendly and efficient. Parking, however, was an issue. We drove around for quite a while trying to find a spot. Upon being seated, they brought us two glasses of Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. Nice touch. We started with the Crab Rangoon - OMG, best we have ever had! There was lots of filling and they were perfectly crispy and huge. We then had the Chilly Chili Noodles. It was a generous portion of tender noodles and just the right amount of chili oil. We were very happy that they were not too spicy. They had more of chili pepper taste, and not heat. Everyone around us had the wings, so we ordered them too. They were great. The Xi'an Crispy potatoes were indeed crispy, but there was something in the spice mix (probably 5 spice seasoning) that we just didn't like at all. The best dish of the day was the Jiaozi - the beef short rib potstickers. The dough was so delicate and the filling was sublime. Next time we are in Chicago, we'll go back to try dinner.

Excellent evening for New Year’s Eve here. What a fun casual treat! I enjoyed it because I didn’t feel like I had to look a certain way for NYE - still nice but wasn’t formal which was more fun and cozy. It was a beautiful pre-fixed menu and tons of food. Well balanced with flavor and plenty left over! Staff were attentive and very friendly especially on an important event like New Year’s Eve. This was a nice evening out - glad we went here!
